What
do you do if you just bought a pc that came with Vista?
What are your options?
Microsoft has now made it possible for you to replace
Vista with XP but it does come with a price. We
checked with HP and found out that you could get XP for
$149. Seems a little high as you paid for one
operating system when you got your computer- you
shouldn't have to pay to get the os that you want!
Other companies may have it for less, so it is one
option that would definitely be worth investigating.
Another option would be to go a Linux system such as
ubuntu. Dell is even offering new laptops with
ubuntu already installed as an alternative to Vista.
And
then, there is always the option to go and get a Mac and
avoid the Vista problem and Microsoft altogether.
If you
are hesitant to change operating systems, there are some
Vista-tuning programs becoming available. Maybe
with a little or alot of fine-tuning Vista may become
bearable to use. It is amazing that a new
operating system requires tweaking in order to be
tolerable to use.
